How accurate are the calories?
They are estimates. Foods in our list have values from recipes and nutrition tables; from a photo it is mostly the portion that is estimated, and that is where differences can be. Check the foods and portions before saving and fix them with a tap, with − / + or in words (“no sour cream”, “two spoons of oil”).
How is the plate score given?
From 1 to 10, by how balanced the plate is: vegetables, protein, fat and portion size. The day score puts the meals' scores together and, if you set a goal, how close you are to it. Scores can be hidden from “About the score”.
The barcode is not found. What do I do?
Photograph the nutrition table on the packaging and the app reads it. Next time the product is found straight away, by you and by everyone else. Hold the code about a hand away from the phone, in good light.
Where are my meals? Do I need an account?
You do not need an account. Meals stay on your phone. If you uninstall the app, the log is lost.
How do I change the language or the units?
The app follows your phone's language (English or Romanian) and your region's units. Both can be changed in Settings: “Limbă / Language” and “Units”.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a meal from the log, or uninstall the app. We do not keep your photos on the server. Details in the privacy policy.
The app cannot use the camera.
On iPhone: Settings → Calorel → Camera. On Android: Settings → Apps → Calorel → Permissions → Camera.
